If you are getting any kind of errors uploading your CSV Recipient Lists to our Newsletter application, make sure they are formatted in the following formats.

Our Newsletter application requires your Recipient Lists to have both 'email' and 'name' columns. You are welcome to use as many other unique columns as you like for any other information you wish to insert into your Newsletter. Even if you do not have any entries in the 'name' field, you still must have the 'name' column header.

Any fields present in your Recipient List can be inserted into your Newsletters. Using placeholders, just enter the name of the columns from your Newsletter and at the time of send we'll automatically insert the information from your list into your Newsletter:

Dear [name],

You are receiving this message at [email].

The placeholder [weblink] can be used to include a link to an online HTML version of your Newsletter and the placeholder [unsubscribe] can be used to insert an Unsubscribe link. To place either the Weblink or Unsubscribe links behind text use the following HTML formatting:

<a href="[unsubscribe]">Unsubscribe Link</a>

With your list saved in CSV format you are now ready to upload it to the SendGrid system. For information about how to upload your list, please refer to our guide for Importing CSV Recipient Lists to the Newsletter App.
