Higher Drop Rate for Spam App Users

A small number of customers with the spam checker app enabled may have noticed a higher than expected number of email requests that were dropped during the period beginning 23 Jan 2013 22:00 GMT and ending 30 Jan 2013 00:15 GMT.  In our continued efforts to fight spam, a recent adjustment to our spam filtering algorithms caused our spam prevention engine to apply higher spam scores based on the customer’s sending IP address.

We apologize if these changes have caused any unexpected undelivered email. Our Account Managers and Support Team have already reached out to all affected customers.  We have readjusted the spam filtering algorithm to return its performance to levels previously expected.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or our Support Team, who over the next week will be able to provide you a list of requests that were dropped by the app.  If you did not have the app turned on your mail delivery was not affected.
