Answer
At Twilio, we aim to provide you with the best possible experience tailored to your needs. Here's how IP usage is structured based on your plan:
Shared IPs: If you choose the Email API Essentials plan or the Marketing Campaigns Basic plan, your account will utilize Shared IPs.
Dedicated IPs: Opting for the Email API Pro or Premier plan, or the Marketing Campaigns Advanced plan, means your account will benefit from a Dedicated IP.
Our system is designed to ensure optimal performance by using either Shared or Dedicated IPs, depending on your plan. While mixed usage within the same account isn't supported, we have some great options for you to consider:
Create Separate Accounts: You can set up two accounts—one with a plan that includes a Dedicated IP for a specific domain, and another with a plan that uses Shared IPs for other domains. This way, you can manage your sending strategy effectively across different domains.
Purchase an Additional Dedicated IP: By acquiring another Dedicated IP, you can create a subuser. Assign one IP to the parent account for a specific domain, and the other IP to the subuser account for additional domains. This setup ensures each domain sends emails through its designated IP.
Alternative Option: If creating a subuser isn't your preference, consider setting up two IP Pools—one for each IP. Use the first IP Pool for domain A, and the second IP Pool for other domains. This approach still leverages the benefits of Dedicated IPs.
We hope these options provide you with the flexibility you need to optimize your email sending strategy.
