Understanding Teammate Permissions

This article details all of the different Teammate permissions as well as what they specifically grant access to.

Permission Access Levels

Admin Access - Teammate has all account permissions including the ability to log in to Subusers using the Change Account feature.

Read Access - Allows a Teammate to view a tab within the UI and its contents, but not change / update / create anything within. Without a minimum of Read Access, Teammates will not see the tab populate when they sign into their Teammate.

Full Access - Teammate can both view and make edits to settings and features as well as add, edit, or remove content.

Teammate Permissions

Clicking on any of the links below will open the corresponding tab within your SendGrid UI if you are logged into your account.

*Please note that with the change to authentication by API key rather than username and password, some permissions no longer have a function.*

API Keys - Allows Teammate the ability to view and access the API Keys tab, located within Settings.

NOTE: A teammate cannot change their own permissions via API key. For example, a teammate with restricted access to features in the SendGrid user interface, but full access to API Keys, cannot create an API key that can access features the teammate does not have permissions for.
