To ensure the security of transactions, the Reserve Bank of India mandated a new rule for the auto-debiting facility of banking transactions. From October 1, 2021 the new Reserve Bank of India mandate indicated that there was to be no more automatically recurring payments, which in return has impacted people in India using Twilio SendGrid.
Now, there needs to be an additional factor of authentication before any transaction can be given the go-ahead. This essentially means that without the customer’s seal of approval, no money can or will be deducted from the bank account on the basis of an automated debit payment.
Due to this new mandate from the Reserve Bank of India, Twilio SendGrid will not be able to store the customer's credit card information for payment purposes and not able to process the payment automatically. Therefore, neither the limits auto-removed nor the subscription activated automatically.
